I am directed by Mr.800retary den to state that

he has received a copy of the despatch No. 701 from the

Governor of Hong Kong a copy of which was also sent to you by

the Colonial Office on the 15th December.

2. With reference to the report, nclosed in that

despatch, from the Chairmen of the Shanghai Refugees Committee,

I am to request you to inform the Loris Commissioners of His

Majesty's Tressury that it is hoped to be able to arrange for

the expenditure incurred in respect of Iraqi nationals to be

borne by the Iraqi community in China.
